Master Signature "Arimi" circa 1900
Extraordinary, solid silver 950 cigarette case with double-sided hand engraving.
Master signed, circa 1900-1920
Key data:
Material: Silver 950 -95% pure silver.
Clearly stamped 950 SILVER
Weight: 136.4g - very heavy and solid
Dimensions: approx. 11cm x 8cm - convex/ slightly domed
Condition: Antique with beautiful patina. Double-sided hand-engraved. Snap closure + hinge 100% OK
Special feature:
Details of the motif & signature:
Both sides in traditional Japanese Sumi-e hand engraving.
Front: Mountain landscape with waterfall, pines, pagodas, etc.
Back: Mountain landscape + Master signature "Arimi Koku" = Engraved by Arimi
Because of the curvature the engraving appears three‑dimensional and captures light perfectly.
Typical for the Meiji/ Taisho era in Japan.
