Remarkable antique earthenware pipe with a characterful portrait of the French Marshal Ferdinand Foch, one of the best-known military leaders of World War I. The pipe bowl is finely molded with recognizable facial features, a mustache, a uniform collar, and a richly adorned military cap.
On both sides of the pipe are the inscriptions “FOCH” and “1918,” a clear reference to the end of World War I. The warm cream- and brown tones give the pipe a beautiful, authentic appearance, while the long black, slightly curved mouthpiece elegantly complements the historic design.
