Pair of San Pietro and San Paolo busts on a Portuguese Roman marble base – 20th Century

Elegant and rare pair of busts depicting Saint Peter and Saint Paul, petrified marble stone, smooth and compact material, not in plaster nor in stucco – therefore ideal even for outdoor display.

Both busts are mounted on precious marble bases in good condition. The sculptures show defined features and meticulous detailing, the work of an expert hand, probably an Italian sculptor active in the mid-20th century (approx. period: 1940s–1960s).
