China, 20th century – Covered incense burner in carved hard stone, probably serpentine, of an archaizing form. The globular body is flanked by two dragon heads holding movable rings; the pierced lid is topped by a seated Foo dog, also adorned with movable rings. The whole rests on three paw-shaped feet.

A reattached handle

Chine, XXe siècle – Brûle-parfum couvert en pierre dure sculptée, probablement en serpentine, de forme archaïsante. La panse globulaire est flanquée de deux têtes de dragons tenant des anneaux mobiles ; le couvercle ajouré est surmonté d’un chien de Fô assis, également orné d’anneaux mobiles. L’ensemble repose sur trois pieds en forme de pattes.
