AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Set of 12 vintage crystal glasses - J.G. Durand / Cristal d'arques - Model Chevreuse - France, second half of the 20th century.

Wonderful and complete set of 12 French crystal stemware, produced by the renowned J.G. Durand (Jacques Georges Durand), the visionary maker behind Cristal d'Arques.
It concerns the sought-after and extremely elegant model 'Chevreuse'.
The glasses are made from high-quality lead crystal, guaranteed to contain more than 24% PbO, which provides a brilliant refraction of light and the characteristic clear crystal sound.
The goblets are finely decorated with a classic floral and scroll pattern engraved in relief.
The stems have a stepped design with subtle knobs/picots near the base of the bowl.
Under the factory name J.G. Durand & Cie, at the time the most refined, luxurious crystal series were released, and this model 'Chevreuse' is a beautiful example of that and reflects French table culture.

The classic and romantically styled set consists of two different sizes, perfect for a complete dinner table setting:
6 x water glasses and 6 x wine glasses.
The glasses are in excellent condition, including the original storage boxes with signs of use.
