Jardinière - Ceramic - Victorian jardinière

A decorative late Victorian ironstone china jardinière dating to around 1900. The body is beautifully decorated in an Imari-inspired palette of deep cobalt blue, iron red and gilt highlights, with floral motifs and striking heraldic cartouches to either side. The underside bears the printed "Warranted Ironstone China" trade mark with the Prince of Wales feathers, a mark associated with quality British-market ironstone of the late 19th and early 20th century. The piece retains excellent colour and a pleasing aged craquelure to the interior, consistent with its age. A charming and highly decorative example, equally suited to use as a planter or as a standalone display piece.
