Tea-dust glazed double-bat-ear incense burner - Ceramic - China - 20th century

Dimensions: Approximately 17cm wide and 10cm high. This censer features a classic gui-style shape, with a full and robust body, a constricted mouth and neck, a bulging belly and tapering waist, and a stable and dignified foot. Symmetrical bat-shaped handles adorn both sides, the bat motif symbolizing "double blessings," with graceful and fluid lines and a smooth, delicate finish, free of harsh edges. The entire piece is covered in authentic tea-dust glaze, the surface of which is covered with evenly distributed, fine, yellowish-brown speckles, a blend of yellow and green, giving it an antique and warm feel, with a matte, vintage texture. The rim and the outline of the handles have a light beige, lampwick-like edge, creating distinct layers. The glaze is thick, drips naturally, and is smooth and delicate to the touch. Tea-dust glaze has been a royal glaze since ancient times. It is a high-temperature crystalline glaze, extremely difficult to fire, resulting in rare pieces. It served both as a decorative piece and for incense burning and Buddhist worship. The piece is well-proportioned and symmetrical, without any cracks, chips, or repairs. It is in perfect condition with well-preserved glaze. It is suitable for home display, scholar's collection, or ritual offerings, combining both collectible and practical value. It will be carefully packaged and shipped via courier with tracking number.
