A very fine old 4/4 violin, labeled Alessandro Gagliano alumnus Stradivarius fecit Beapoli anno 1725. The instrument is in ready to play condition with tears, wears, no visible cracks, good ebony set up, old Aubert bridge and new strings. The violin has an excellent straight high to medium grained spruce of the top and two pieces back of softly flamed maple with matched sides, neck and scroll. Rich golden amber varnish with some tears shows an amazing wooden choice. The whole length of the violin is 593 mm and the back 360 mm. The width of the upper bouts: 166 mm; middle bouts: 115 mm; lower bouts: 207 mm. Full size. The sound is very sweet, rich, mellow, powerful, suitable for soloist. Shipping with DHL worldwide.
