A 40 × 40 cm giclée on canvas from France, titled The nude - Hand signed, limited to 20 signed editions with the artist directly selling it and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
Description from the seller
Studio corner bathed in a milk-white window light, inundated with stacks of books and art monographs. Crouching with her back to us on the wooden floor, a brunette woman with a bun, completely naked, leafs through a large open book on reproductions — cubist figures and portraits in vivid colors. To the right, framed, a Venus rising from the waters in Renaissance style. Semiotically, the painting is a meditation on representation: the real, living, sensual body leans over the painted bodies, from the classical Venus to modern deconstructions — a silent dialogue between the model and the history of art that has always depicted her. The warm flesh tones contrast with the browns of the bindings and the gray of the wall; rich impasto on the skin, a workshop texture in the grand tradition of the female nude.
