Mid-century modern brass and glass lamp from France, dating to 1960–1970, in good used condition and in working order, with a height of 42 cm, width and depth 16 cm, featuring amber glass detail.
Description from the seller
It is a lamp that embodies to perfection the warm, theatrical glamour characteristic of Hollywood Regency, reinterpreted in the second half of the 20th century, when brushed brass and crystal worked together to create pieces with stage presence and enveloping light.
The brass, with its soft, warm shine, forms a base of undulating lines and a column rises gracefully, almost like a decorative pilaster. It is not a cold metal: here it appears with that golden finish that captures light and returns it with an intimate radiance, very characteristic of the era's Hollywood interiors.
In the center, the crystal body provides transparency and texture. That cut, slightly faceted glass introduces a play of reflections that softens the light and adds visual depth. It is the type of crystal used in luxury domestic lamps, designed to create warm, almost cinematic atmospheres.
The glass shade, with its amber tone and floral reliefs, completes the scene with a romantic gesture. The filtered light takes on a golden, intimate hue that transforms the lamp into a small theatrical spotlight. The wavy edge reinforces that vintage, elegant air, with a touch of fantasy.
Taken together, it is a piece that blends brass, crystal, and Hollywood design into a perfect balance: warm, decorative, with character, and representative of the luminous aesthetics of the mid-20th century. A lamp that not only lights but creates atmosphere.
Certified shipping and good packaging.
