Large antique jardinière in hammered copper with a brass wide rim and four ring handles, mounted on a heavy cast-iron stand, dating to circa 1910–1920 and in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Antique copper-brass jardinière with a cast-iron stand – hand-hammered – circa 1900.
The auction item is a large decorative jardinière/kettle made of hand-hammered copper with a wide brass collar and four ornamental ring handles.
The set also includes the original cast-iron stand consisting of two substantial supports that elevate the vessel and give it a regal appearance. The stand is about 15 cm tall, making the whole piece an excellent interior decorative element.
The form, workmanship, and materials indicate manufacture at the turn of the 19th to 20th century, most likely during the Belle Époque (circa 1900–1915). Hand hammering, sturdy construction, and natural patina emphasize the authentic character and high quality of old craftsmanship.
Similar pieces were used as elegant jardinières, cachepots, or representative decorative vessels.
Can serve as:
* decoration for a living room or study,
* decorative pot cover for a plant,
* an impressive element for a fireplace or table,
* an exhibit in a copper-and-brass antique collection.
Condition: very good for its age. Visible natural patina and minor signs of use confirm authenticity. No obvious structural damage.
Dimensions of the jardinière:
* diameter: 40 cm
* height: 9.3 cm
* depth: 8.5 cm
* weight: 3.2 kg
Cast-iron stand:
* height: approx. 15 cm
The item will be carefully packed and shipped with a tracking number.
