The mechanical pencil is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful use in line with its age, maintaining a highly attractive aesthetics and an excellent presence in hand for being one of the most sought-after pieces of the famous Writers Edition series.

The body and the cap, made of precious resin with a subtle veining effect that simulates noble wood —an explicit homage to the material of Robinson Crusoe's raft— maintain well-defined lines, with slight superficial marks typical of normal use, without dents, cracks, or deformations. The material retains its deep polish and an excellent shine.

The front conical nib maintains an immaculate finish, with the lead outlet terminal perfectly aligned and clean to guarantee precise writing.

Factory inscriptions, which include the engraved signature of the author Daniel Defoe on the cap, the sharp Montblanc brand, and the unique serial number corresponding to this limited edition, are in very good condition, remaining perfectly clean, readable and deep.

As for operation, the internal mechanical propulsion mechanism has been serviced and delivered in proper working order, responding with total smoothness and precision.

The metal elements with a sober and elegant ruthenium-gold finish, which include the iconic clip sculpted in the shape of a bird’s feather and the ornamental rings with classic filigrees from eighteenth-century bindings, present a very good condition, maintaining the original factory tension, fit, and firmness without play.

The upper cap stands out for housing the renowned Montblanc star emblem, which remains immaculate, crowning the piece with all its original definition.
