Description
An attractive design set consisting of an original MAXAM 608 architect lamp from Denmark as well as a sculptural candle holder made of glazed ceramic. Both objects date from the 1970s and complement each other with their striking red color and distinctive Mid-Century style.
The architect lamp was manufactured by the Danish company MAXAM and bears the original nameplate “MAXAM 608 – Made in Denmark – 250 V”. It features the classic double-swing arm with tension springs, an adjustable metal shade, and the original desk clamp. The lamp has an E27 socket (max. 60 W according to the manufacturer) and showcases the functional design language of Scandinavian industrial design from the 1970s.
The candle holder is made of glazed ceramic and bears the ground mark 329 / H18. With its sculptural form, the distinctive ring handle and the bold red glaze, it is a striking design object of the 1970s. The manufacturer could not be identified with certainty.
This lot combines Scandinavian and West German design of the 1970s and is suitable for collectors of Mid-Century objects as well as as a decorative ensemble for modern interiors.
