Monumental antique aneroid barometer with thermometer in a richly carved wooden wall cabinet
An impressive antique wall barometer that combines functionality and decorative power in an exceptionally tasteful manner. The instrument is housed in a richly carved wooden cabinet with openwork ornaments, graceful scrolls, and three striking flower motifs at the top.
In the middle sits a long glass thermometer with Celsius scale. Below it is the round aneroid barometer, equipped with a finely worked French dial. The markings such as “Tempête”, “Pluie”, “Variable”, “Beau Temps” and “Très Sec” indicate different weather expectations and atmospheric pressure conditions.
