Wall plate (2) - Stoneware - Original, circa 1760

For sale is a pair of original 18th-century Italian plates, tin-glazed stoneware / Faience with polychrome decoration in the Imari style, manufactured by Ferniani in Faenza.

An exactly identical model can be found in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum NY.

Both plates are in excellent condition given their age and material. Only two notable superficial glaze losses are visible; otherwise only the unavoidable, expected signs of aging.

Both plates are set in a sturdy metal mounting, still safely hangable. Can be removed by the next owner (better extremely careful).
