Description from the seller
The Yamaha G-60A is a superb vintage nylon-string guitar, from the prestigious Japanese production era of the 1970s – a time when Yamaha instruments were renowned for their consistency, reliability, and excellent tonal balance.
Dating from the early 70s, which clearly places it in the highly sought-after "Made in Japan" / Nippon Gakki era of Yamaha.
This guitar offers a warm, classic, rich and round tone, with a responsive, balanced feel, ideal for fingerstyle, light classical repertoire, or simply playing at home. It has that inimitable character of vintage nylon-string guitars: a soft, open, musical sound.
Test sound on YouTube with the title/search "YAMAHA GA60 Classique 1970s MIJ - Soundtest"
The action is about 3.5 mm on the low E and high E strings at the 12th fret, offering a comfortable, easy-to-play setup, unlike the higher traditional actions.
Aesthetically, this guitar shows visible signs of wear and small dings, floral decoration on the soundboard (which can be removed); these marks are purely cosmetic; no structural issues. The guitar remains solid, stable, and fully functional.
