Antique copper smoking table / plant stand / side table approx. 1900
Atmospheric antique copper smoking table that also serves excellently as a plant stand or decorative side table. Originating from the collection of my grandparents.
The table is made of wood and copper and is richly decorated with beautiful ornaments. The combination of the graceful lines and the detailed copper work evokes the transition between Art Nouveau (Jugendstil) and Art Deco.
What makes this set complete is an antique copper tobacco pot and cigars. The tobacco pot even still contains tobacco that is at least 70 years old.
Based on the craftsmanship, I suspect the piece was manufactured by Daalderop, although it is not marked and thus cannot be determined with certainty.
Dimensions:
Height: 69 cm
Diameter of top: 32 cm
Condition:
The table, in keeping with its age of over 100 years, is in a nice used condition with normal signs of wear and aging. One of the legs needs reattachment. Otherwise the furniture is sturdy and forms a particularly decorative object for a classic or eclectic interior.
