Two antique pill/jewelry boxes: one French or Bohemian, the other German-made.

An antique box French/Bohemian uranium-opaline snuff box with brass mount – ca. 1890
Magnificent antique handmade snuff box/pill box made of rare white uranium opaline glass (ouraline), dating from the late 19th century (ca. 1880-1910). The box is equipped with an authentic brass mount with a well-functioning hinge and closure. The lid is hand-decorated with a striking geometric pattern (shield-button motif) in black and orange. Under UV light the opaline glass shows the characteristic soft uranium-green fluorescence. A highly sought-after collectible for lovers of antique glass and ouraline.

An antique Art Deco trinket box with Silver Overlay and enameled Volkstedt porcelain - Karl Ens
Particularly antique Art Deco / Jugendstil trinket box with feet, produced in the early 20th century. Volkstedt (Thuringia, Germany). featuring the original hallmark.
Lid: White porcelain, fully hand-painted with an oriental 'Japonisme' decor of a palm tree and flowers in relief enamel (cloisonné style).
Casing: Porcelain with a thick silver overlay and graceful Art Deco borders.
Condition: The silvered overlay has a beautiful, authentic dark patina (can be polished if desired). The porcelain lid shows a visible hairline crack under the palm leaves (see photos). Otherwise in good, original condition.
Measurements: 10 x 6.5 x 6 cm and weighs 168.5 grams
