Set of 3 cone vases by Robert Gagliano from the 70s/80s, signed
Respectively 28 cm, 22 cm and 13 cm
Roberto Gagliano (Brighton, United Kingdom) master potter and founder of "Pottery Gagliano" in Brighton.
Background: Born in Sicily, he learned the art with traditional mountain clay and earned a degree in ceramics, technology and design. He moved to England in 2001.
Style: Known for his skilled throwing and handmade techniques. He is in high demand for his technical prowess and has collaborated with famous contemporary artists such as David Shrigley and Dan Baldwin, with whom he has made ceramic vases that they use in their artworks.
Studio: Runs a renowned ceramics academy in Brighton (Rodhus Creative Studios), where he has trained thousands of students, some of whom have appeared in the program The Great Pottery Throw Down.
