For sale is an exceptionally decorative lot of 11 colored lead crystal Römer / wine glasses.
The glasses are made of heavy, brilliant lead crystal and have a beautiful, bright tone. The colored overlay has been meticulously cut, causing the clear crystal patterns to stand out especially effectively. Depending on the glass, various traditional cutting patterns appear: star cut, diamond cut, fan and leaf cut, oval medallions, and finely worked cross-cut ornaments.
The glasses appear very elegant and stately due to their vivid colors and deep facets. Especially the ruby-red glasses with their classic decoration strongly recall Bohemian crystal. The colored individual pieces in yellow, green, rosé and violet add accents and make the set a striking centerpiece for display cabinet, festive table, home bar, or collection.
I could not find a manufacturer’s mark or signature. Therefore there is no secure attribution to a specific manufactory. Based on material, cut, shape and design, the set is offered as Bohemian style / Bohemia style, 20th century.
