Ancient copper milk pail from the early 1900s. Handmade in hammered copper, it features a characteristic truncated-conical shape, with a small-diameter bottom and an inner-reinforced top rim; it is tin-plated and equipped with a sturdy handle to facilitate the transport of freshly milked milk. The natural patina of the copper and the original rivets testify to the object's authenticity and its long use in the activity of rural farming life. This model is available in galvanized iron; it is rare to find it in copper.
