Description from the seller
Three clusters of ornamental grapes in natural rose quartz – Italy, mid-20th century
Elegant lot consisting of three decorative grape clusters handcrafted from smooth semi-precious stones, identifiable as natural rose quartz, mounted on a metal frame with leaves in brushed brass. Refined decorative objects, highly appreciated for classic, vintage Italian-inspired interiors.
Each grape is carved from a stone that has been carefully smoothed and polished, showing the typical delicate shading from milky white to pale pink typical of rose quartz. The manual workmanship makes each cluster unique, with slight differences in the arrangement of the stones and in color tones.
These objects were particularly popular in elegant Italian homes between the 1950s and 1970s as ornamental elements to display on coffee tables, sideboards, bar furniture, bookcases, consoles, or cabinets. Today they still represent a refined interior accessory with timeless charm.
The metal frames and leaves show a natural patina due to aging, which enhances their authenticity. The stones are in good overall condition with minor signs of wear consistent with use and age.
