This is an authentic Japanese Raku ware (Raku-yaki) matcha tea bowl, bearing the "楽" (Raku) mark impressed on the base near the foot ring (kodai).

Raku ware is historically celebrated in Japanese tea ceremony for its soft tactile warmth and hand-formed aesthetic (Te-nekeni). This bowl features a beautiful natural glaze effect with fine crackle patterns (kannyu) visible inside the bowl.

[Condition & Character]
Please note that there is fine crackle/crazing (kannyu) across the inner surface. Rather than being treated merely as damage, in the Japanese tradition of Wabi-Sabi, these natural glaze cracks and signs of age are deeply appreciated as visual highlights that tell the unique story and character of the bowl over time. Please carefully inspect all photos for detailed condition before bidding.
