An interesting nine-year-old blended whisky from the Chugoku Jozo distillery, from the Togouchi range.

The producer builds its character by blending whiskies from Scotland and Canada, and it matures its spirit in a railway tunnel, which is undeniably an intriguing departure from ordinary warehouses.

Notes of sweet apricot with a hint of plum, and the scent of fresh bread. On the palate, lemony, developing into orange zest, with a pinch of peat smoke.

Anise-forward finish with cardamom and caramel.
