Montblanc - Bohème Doué Platinum Line - FULL SET - Pen

In this auction we present a splendid exemplar of one of the most beloved and sought-after collections by the Hamburg maison’s collectors, rendered in an elegant and high-contrast guise: the Montblanc Bohème Doué Platinum Line Ballpoint Pen (with Black Onyx Stone).

The Bohème line has always stood out for its unique proportions: shorter with a generous diameter compared to the classic Meisterstück, it offers a compact design (ideal for a pocket or an agenda) without sacrificing a solid and comfortable grip. This specific Doué variant (two materials) stands out for the wonderful play of textures. The upper part (the mechanical body) is made of solid metal with a bright mirror-polished platinum-plated finish, which gives the instrument substantial weight and a sense of extreme robustness. The lower section (the nib housing) is instead forged in the classic black precious resin.

The true focal point of this edition is the clip: set flush into the platinum-plated metal we find a beautiful black synthetic onyx stone with a flat rectangular cut. A discreet yet deeply elegant gem, which pairs perfectly with the black of the lower resin. At the flat summit towers the large emblem of the white star.

The operation relies on a very precise twist mechanism to extend the nib. Your excellent photographs of the instrument disassembled are perfect for the listing: they show the robust brass threading of the nib housing, confirming the build quality and the absolute originality of the piece.

The conservation condition is to be considered excellent overall. The metal body is beautifully shiny and mirrored; only the physiological and light micro-scratches (hairlines) due to normal careful handling are visible, with no deep scratches or dents. The black resin and the onyx are untouched. The serial code is regularly engraved on the clip ring. To complete the lot, the pen comes with its original accessories: the elegant Montblanc presentation box and the booklet.
