OLLAND Holosteric aneroid barometer - Glass, Brass

Heavy antique barometer in beautiful condition. Not cleaned, nice patina. See photos.
Also still functions accurately. Equipped with a semicircular mercury thermometer,
The original thick protective glass is facet-cut.
If necessary it can be adjusted via a small opening at the rear.

This very rare measuring instrument was supplied around 1900 by the instrument maker W.C. Olland in Utrecht.
Among others to the KNMI in De Bilt.

Later the company moved to De Bilt where they specialized in precision weighing instruments.
