Description from the seller

A 17th century tin-glazed Nevers earthenware pitcher, measuring circa 25cm in height and weighing 906g, decorated in smalt (Prussian) blue to depict an animated chinoiserie décor between rims of stylized foliage. Estimated age: Circa 1680.

Condition: Very good, small chips and frittings commensurate with age and use, minor glaze cracks, no significant damages or repairs. There is a small hole on top of the handle where there was once a tin lid. Minor wear commensurate with age and use.

This lot will be carefully packaged and sent by registered and insured mail.
