Desk Set and Art Memorabilia: Leather-bound Directory and Large Photo Album - Legatoria Fiorentina, 1990s (2 items)
Elegant lot composed of two precious works of traditional artistic bookbinding, entirely handmade in Florence (Italy) in the 1990s. Although the objects show different materials and bindings, they share the same workshop origin, the era of creation, and the mastery of the same artisan hand. Both pieces come from warehouse stock and are presented in immaculate, never-used condition.
Object 1: Leather and Marbled Paper Art Directory
Refined desktop telephone/alphabetical directory with a half-classic binding.
• Cover: Spine and four corners in fine genuine leather, enhanced on the back with 4 raised ridges (id est cords). Covers lined with hand-made marbled paper.
• Interior: Alphabetical index with letters individually reinforced in leather and characters pressed in gold, dimensions: 22 x 16 x 2 cm.
Object 2: Large Photo Album in Linen and Marbled Paper in blue and silver tones
Imposing square desktop album, ideal for preserving precious memories.
• Cover: Half-binding with spine and four corners reinforced in sturdy natural linen fabric. Covers lined with artisanal marbled paper in blue tones, blue and azure with metallic silver veining. Front closure with an elegant blue satin ribbon bow.
• Interior: 50 sheets (100 pages) of heavy ivory-colored card, each protected by a sheet of tissue parchment (vellum) embossed.
• Authenticity: Displays the original printed sticker of the historic Bindery "All'Ancora Secca" of Florence on the title page, dimensions: 31 x 31 x 4 cm.
Condition: Excellent - Pristine, never used (mint condition).
No defects, stains, wear, or paper bloom to report. Both objects have been kept in a protected environment free from humidity and direct light.
