Description from the seller

Art Nouveau oil lamp, France, around 1890-1910

Elegant Parisian lamp in gilt brass, with a total height of 50 cm including diffuser and a diameter of 24 cm, illustrating with refinement the decorative art and the know-how of Parisian luminaires of the Belle Époque.

The reservoir with its harmonious curve is richly outlined with chased friezes and adorned with decorative cabochons, giving the piece a presence that is both noble and decorative. It is encircled by its original pearl necklace, entirely intact, composed of fine polychrome glass beads forming a rhythmic and elegant décor, extending with delicate fringes perfectly preserved.

The lamp is mounted on a gilded brass baluster base, ensuring stability and elegance, and is surmounted by its glass diffuser, completing the set with balance and authenticity.
The mechanism is complete and functional, a testament to the quality of manufacture and the exceptional preservation of this piece.

Condition: very good vintage condition, remarkable considering its age, with a warm and uniform patina respecting the object's authenticity. small chip on the glass base, barely noticeable. No notable alterations, overall coherent and perfectly preserved.

True piece of character, this Parisian lamp embodies the refinement of bourgeois interiors and today remains a decorative object of great prestige, ideal for a collection, a display case, or an elegant interior seeking a touch of authenticity and timeless luxury.
