Description from the seller
Two carbon steel embroidery scissors; dated between the late 18th century and the late 19th century
One of them, with twisted handles typical of English cutlery and with curved blades, both arms are joined by a pin with a circular head (rivet) and beside this is engraved a punch with the initials W.KENT; this would place it with high probability in the workshop of W.KENT & SON of Sheffield (England).
The other, smaller, from the late 19th century, double curvature, with offset handle, for precision work. The arms are joined by a screw and beside it is engraved a crown with the initials G.B.; its provenance is estimated to be from one of the Solingen (Germany) workshops of the era, such as Gebrüder Bell and Gebrüder Born.
