Set of 2 large religious glass candlesticks – Sacred Heart of Jesus & Mary – Val Saint Lambert style – circa 1930-1955

Beautiful and rare set of two large religious glass candlesticks, made in clear and frosted glass. The candlesticks depict the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, delicately worked out in an elegant, sculptural form.

Both candlesticks rest on richly decorated feet with graceful relief. The decoration of the base and the neck differs slightly between the two specimens, which is typical for this type of older religious glass objects and emphasizes the artisanal character. Light, unobtrusive hairline crack at the back of Mary (see photo).

With a height of 29 cm, they form an impressive and decorative whole, suitable in both a religious or Art Deco/antique interior.

Executed in the style of Val Saint Lambert, with no visible signature. In nice vintage condition with normal signs of use appropriate to their age.
