Description from the seller
I admit that this instrument looks very much like a Director 14A (late 1950s) or 15A (1960s). However, it is certainly a Connquest 20A. The inscription "Connquest" is present on the tubing. My theory is this: Conn produced a Director 26A model in the 1930s, with this configuration. At the end of the 1940s, right after the war, Conn began producing the Pan American 58A horn, which was essentially the same model. When Conn stopped producing instruments under the Pan American brand in the mid-1950s, they still wanted to continue producing the popular 58A model. Initially they produced it as this model, the Connquest 20A, starting from 1953. They changed course in 1954/1955, because from 1954 onward the Director 14A began to appear. The 20A Connquest model still appears in the 1955 catalog, but not in the 1956 one. Between the 20A Connquest and the 14A Director, the lathing and nickel finishes show slight differences, but both instruments are very similar. Both have a 2½
