Original poster created for the exhibition "Antonio Ligabue – A Life of an Artist," hosted at the Palazzo dei Diamanti in Ferrara from October 31, 2020 to April 5, 2021.
The graphic reproduces one of Antonio Ligabue's most famous subjects, the spectacular Roaring Tiger, a symbol of his artistic production and the expressive power that made the painter one of the protagonists of Italian art in the Twentieth Century.
The exhibition, organized by Ferrara Arte in collaboration with the Municipality of Ferrara, the Galleries of Modern and Contemporary Art of Ferrara (GAMC) and the Antonio Ligabue Archive Foundation, retraced the artist's entire personal and artistic journey through an important selection of paintings, sculptures, engravings, and documents.
This is the original poster distributed for the occasion of the exhibition, printed in 2020 for the official promotion of the event.
For the iconic image chosen and for the print quality, it today represents an interesting collectible item dedicated to Antonio Ligabue and to posters of major Italian art exhibitions.
