Elegant vintage tweed ensemble for ladies by Christian Dior – “The Suit” – executed in a timeless Prince of Wales/Glen check pattern in grey and beige tones with subtle black and rust-brown accents. This complete ensemble consists of a long blazer and a matching straight skirt and was manufactured in the United States for the Paris – New York collection. Based on the design, cut and label, this ensemble can be dated from the 1980s.
The ensemble is in very neat vintage condition with only light, normal signs of wear that fit the age. The original Christian Dior – The Suit label and the Made in U.S.A. label are present. The fabric/care label is missing, making the exact composition of the fabric no longer ascertainable. Furthermore, no notable damage.
The blazer features an elegant lightly oversized 1980s silhouette with wide lapels, structured shoulders, a two-button closure, a breast pocket and two flap pockets. The matching skirt has a classic straight fit and closes at the back with a hidden zipper and button. Both pieces are fully lined and exude the refined tailoring Christian Dior is renowned for.
The original Christian Dior – The Suit label and the Made in U.S.A. label are present.
