Title: The Dreamer in Cubes
Measurements: 70x55 cm
Year: 2026
Irene Caligo is a contemporary painter who explores the human figure as a space of emotional tension and suspension. Her works blend references to the European figurative tradition with a current chromatic sensitivity, through layers of color, fragmentation of form, and decorative interventions. Faces and hands become central elements of a research that probes the boundary between presence and dissolution, creating intimate and silent images, open to the viewer’s interpretation.

In person, artworks are more beautiful than in photography: one can appreciate the hypnotic beauty of the oil colors coming to life on the canvas.
