Description from the seller
Thank you for visiting our listing.
This distinctive vintage wristwatch from Omega belongs to the iconic Seamaster Polaris collection — one of Omega's most recognisable and collectible models from the late 1980s to early 1990s, celebrated for its bold avant-garde design that seamlessly integrates the case and bracelet into a single unified form.
The dial presents a deep anthracite/grey tone, featuring a refined combination of gilt dot and baton hour markers arranged on a fine minute track, complemented by the iconic Omega logo at 12 o'clock and the elegant "Seamaster" script in gold at 6 o'clock. A date window at 3 o'clock adds everyday practicality, and "SWISS MADE" is noted at the base of the dial. The gold-tone hands provide excellent legibility against the dark dial.
The two-tone case combines a brushed stainless steel body with a solid yellow gold bezel — the bold geometric profile of which gives the Polaris its unmistakable character and sporty luxury appeal. The case back features the iconic Seamaster seahorse emblem engraved in relief, with the serial number stamped on the lug. The stainless steel case back (ACIER INOXYDABLE) is secured with a snap-fit back and opens with a dedicated tool. The watch is fitted with its original Omega integrated stainless steel H-link bracelet, secured by a signed Omega deployant clasp featuring a gold-tone Omega logo plate — completing the elegant two-tone aesthetic of this model.
Inside is the Omega Cal. 1438 Swiss quartz movement (6 jewels, V8 version), offering precise and reliable timekeeping without the need for regular servicing.
A compelling example of Omega's design philosophy of this era: confident, geometric, and crafted with genuine Swiss watchmaking expertise.
Please check the photographs carefully as they form part of the description.
