Exceptional chess set.
A commemorative jewel of the 5th centenary of the conquest of Granada presented on a magnificent wooden table of elegant classical design with Nazarí marquetry decoration and finished on a four-legged base. The table opens to reveal two drawers to store the pieces in a precious felt lining that has an exclusive cavity for each piece. Important dimensions: 51 cm per side, 60 cm diagonal and 70 cm high.
The pieces, finely polished, are handmade by the finest artisans in bronze and finished on pedestals gilded with 24-karat gold and silver. It consists of 32 pieces representing the most important figures from both sides of the Granada conquest in the 15th century. The Catholic Monarchs, Boabdil, Aixa, great Christian knights and Arab warriors. In the photographs the porosity of their figures can be seen in great detail.
Special mention deserves the horses, each one distinct, with great detail and beauty. As with the bishops, they are also different from one another.
This is an exceptional and exclusive out-of-production work of art, hard to obtain.
The table is shipped disassembled so you can use only the board by placing it wherever you choose, or assemble the table by gluing its parts.
