Gino Giusti (1937-2019) - Night Club n. 35

Gino Giusti, well known and beloved in Siena, also for having painted the Palio’s drappellone on July 2, 1988, was a painter and set designer, trained in scenography at the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence, who exhibited in numerous Italian and Tuscan towns.
This work, signed and dated in the upper left and with the back bearing the title "Night Club n. 35" along with the date 1972 and other data possibly related to an exhibition, reflects the artist’s connection with theater, in its structure with strong contrasts of light and shadow as a theatrical mise-en-scène.
The painting captures perfectly the social life and night clubs of those years, probably in Rome, the city where the artist resided in the 1970s.
In good condition with the frame, measures 51 x 71 cm.
