About the artist:

Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation, and development of artists and artworks, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility.

This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary means to explore themes related to nature, the landscape, and the intimate relationship between woman and her surroundings. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual impact topics such as beauty, love, sensuality, and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic, and refined atmospheres.

With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh, and deeply evocative works. The pictorial texture of her images, the masterful use of color, and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a contemporary artistic proposal of high aesthetic value.

Shipping and presentation:

The work will be carefully packaged by a professional and sent in a rigid cardboard tube, internally protected with bubble wrap to ensure its integrity during transport. Shipments are made through reliable courier companies such as UPS, FedEx, or Correos España, depending on the destination and the most convenient option in each case.

The estimated delivery time is 7 to 10 days, though it may vary depending on the destination country.

This impressive depiction of Archangel Michael portrays him as a noble warrior with baroque armor and large feathered wings, holding a great sword. However, instead of cast metal and real feathers, his form is made of intricate blue and white porcelain. This ceramic is marked by fine, detailed gold lines tracing the contour of what appear to be crack repairs, clearly inspired by the Japanese technique of Kintsugi. Just as in the practice of Kintsugi, where the scars of broken ceramic are highlighted with gold to celebrate the history of the object and its resilience, these golden veins in the porcelain skin and the archangel’s armor do not represent weakness or damage, but add a new level of beauty and value to his figure. The gold highlights his history and the strength that emerges from overcoming adversity, merging divine aesthetics with the deep message of restoration and renewal that defines Kintsugi.
