Rare multiple sculpture by Klaus Schröder (1953), titled Tafelobjekt 11/80, created in 1996 in a three-part white relief construction in mixed media for Galerie Epikur, numbered 11/80 and measuring 22 by 22 cm.
Description from the seller
Rare multiple panel-based work by artist Klaus Schröder, created in 1996 for Galerie Epikur.
The piece consists of three white-painted, relief-like panel elements. The deliberately restrained, almost monochrome design lives from the contrast between the rough, lively surface texture and the warm tone of the visibly translucent wood. The middle element stands out clearly through its plastic rendering and a dark, graphical linear composition.
The handcrafted-looking, relief surface gives the object an independent, sculptural character. The work is numbered and comes from a limited edition of 80 copies; offered is number 11/80.
A characteristic object of 1990s art, presenting itself both as a wall object and as a sculptural collectible. Due to its reduced color palette and strong materiality, it is particularly suited for collectors of contemporary art and lovers of minimalist-conceptual object art.
