The volume contains the first part of Cicero’s Orationes, revised and corrected by Paolo Manuzio. It opens with the orations Pro P. Quintio, Pro Sex. Roscio Amerino, Pro A. Caecina, Pro Sex. Roscio Comoedo, and proceeds with the famous Verrinae (books I–VII of the accusation against Verres) and other orations.

Copy with ownership annotations; on the front paste-down an engraved ex libris of Lucius Mariani of Rome, dated 1881.
Signs of worming in some cases affect the text, especially toward the end.

Aldine edition of great value, printed by Aldo Manuzio’s sons with Paolo Manuzio’s careful corrections. The Aldine editions of Cicero’s orations from 1554 are sought after for their typographic quality, purity of text, and rarity on the antiquarian market, especially in good condition and with documented provenance.
