Object description:
This work is an exclusive collaboration between the two French artists AIIROH and Jean-Michel Collell.
The artwork was created on high-quality fine-art paper with a weight of 300 g/m². It is based on a lithograph, which was then refined with hand-made elements and acrylic paint. AIIROH’s stencil technique meets Collell’s hand-executed work.
The piece is numbered and signed by both artists. An authenticity certificate is included with the delivery. The artwork was purchased directly from the artist.
About the artists:
AIIROH was born in 1987 in southern France. His artistic work is strongly influenced by Pop Art, New Pop Art, Street Art and contemporary consumer culture. Through his work as a graphic designer in France and Switzerland, he developed a clear and bold visual language.
In his works, AIIROH frequently draws on well-known brands, symbols and elements of pop culture, examining their influence on consumer behavior and our visual perception. He employs various techniques such as acrylic and spray paint, lithography, collage and stencils for his pieces.
Jean-Michel Collell, born 1968, is particularly known for his extraordinary portrait works. A special focus is on his works made from wire mesh. Through a precise subtractive technique, portraits with impressive spatial impact are created from different densities and cutouts of the material.
Light, shadow, depth and texture play central roles in Collell’s works. His distinct approach to portraiture forms an intriguing contrast to AIIROH’s colorful and graphically driven Pop-Art aesthetic.
The collaboration of the two artists thus brings together two different artistic hands: AIIROH’s influences from Pop Art and Street Art meet Collell’s intensive engagement with portraiture, structure and artisanal precision.
Because of the limited edition, the signatures of both artists, the manual processing and the accompanying certificate of authenticity, this is an interesting collectible piece of contemporary Pop- and Street-Art.
The work is carefully rolled, securely packaged and insured for shipping.
