Preserve James Dean is an exclusive original work by the French pop- and street-art artist AIIROH from 2023.
The large-format work with dimensions of approximately 75 × 75 cm was created on high-quality fine-art paper with a weight of 300 g/m². The base is a lithograph that was subsequently hand-finished by the artist with acrylic paint to enhance it. This merges the precision of printmaking with the individual marks of manual artistic treatment.
At the center is James Dean, one of the best-known icons of American film and pop culture. AIIROH translates the motif into his own contemporary visual language, combining classic celebrity iconography with elements from Pop Art, Street Art, and modern consumer culture.
Preserve James Dean is a true unique piece – Edition 1/1. There exists only a single exemplar of this edition. The artwork bears the characteristic stencil signature from AIIROH and is supplied with a certificate of authenticity.
About the artist:
AIIROH was born in 1987 in southern France and has been engaged with drawing and painting since childhood. His work as a graphic designer in France and Switzerland influenced the clear, bold, and modern design of his later artworks.
His works are shaped by Pop Art, New Pop Art, and Street Art. Recurring themes include famous personalities, international brands, luxury, consumption, and the visual impact of popular symbols on our society.
AIIROH combines various techniques and materials such as lithography, acrylic and spray paint, stencils, and collage elements. Through additional hand finishing, works emerge that fuse classical print techniques with the individual character of contemporary street art.
During his career, AIIROH has worked on projects with chef Nobu and the luxury watch brand Hublot. He has also created bottle art for the French winery Bertaud Belieu in Saint-Tropez.
