Antique, Austria, Vienna, 1900-1925, Viennese bronze, maid bell (cold-painted).
This figurine is an antique desk bell (often referred to as a maid bell or reception bell), made in the form of a guitar-playing boy.
The hole at the feet was meant to allow the bell to hinge, and the holes in the hat were purely necessary to cast the figurine at all successfully. (See photos).
The figurine does not function as a bell.

Dimensions: 12 cm high.
Condition: In good, used condition, showing signs of use and age, no longer functioning as a bell. The pedestal is used; some pieces are missing, see last photo.
