The mechanical pencil is presented in very good overall condition, showing careful use appropriate to its age, preserving an attractive aesthetic and an excellent presence in hand for being one of the most sought-after pieces of the famous Writers Edition series (Edition of Writers).

The body and cap, made of precious resin with a subtle veining effect that simulates noble wood —in clear homage to the material of Robinson Crusoe's raft— maintain well-defined lines, with slight surface marks typical of normal use, without dents, cracks or deformations. The material preserves its deep polish and an excellent shine.

The front conical nozzle maintains an impeccable finish, with the lead-out tip perfectly aligned and clean to guarantee precise writing.

The factory inscriptions, which include the author Daniel Defoe's engraved signature on the cap, the crisp Montblanc brand mark, and the unique serial number corresponding to this limited edition, are in very good condition, remaining perfectly clean, legible and deep.

Regarding operation, the internal mechanical propulsion mechanism has been inspected and is delivered in proper working order, responding with total smoothness and precision.

The metallic elements with a sober and elegant ruthenium-gold finish, which include the iconic clip sculpted in the shape of a bird's plume and the ornamental rings with classic filigrees from 18th-century bookbindings, present a very good state, maintaining the original factory tension, adjustment and firmness without play.

The top finish stands out for housing the famed Montblanc star emblem, which remains immaculate, crowning the piece with all its original definition.
