Description from the seller

A0000004540

The Waterman Le Man 200 fountain pen is in very good overall condition, standing out for its excellent visual presence and proper functioning.
The body and cap, made of high-gloss black lacquer, retain an elegant and deep appearance, with good uniformity in the finish. There are faint micro-scratches on the surface typical of careful use, with no cracks, fissures, or loss of material, keeping its structural integrity intact.
The gold-plated elements – clip, rings, and fittings – are in good condition, with present shine and no significant wear. You can observe minimal signs of use in specific areas, in line with the piece’s age, but without affecting its overall aesthetics.
The 18K solid gold nib is in very good condition, correctly aligned and without deformations. It retains its sharp engraving “Waterman Ideal Paris 18K 750” and presents a clean overall look. The feed is in proper condition, ensuring a correct ink flow. The pen has been serviced and is delivered fully functional and ready for writing.
The closure mechanism works correctly, with a firm cap fit.
A Waterman original case is included, showing visible signs of use and exterior wear, such as nicks on the corners and a deteriorated label, typical of the passage of time.
Overall, this is a piece in very good condition, ideal for both use and collection, preserving the classic character and the manufacturing quality of the Le Man line.

Conservation recommendations
For optimal maintenance, it is recommended to use high-quality fountain pen inks, avoid pigmented inks, rinse the pen with lukewarm water if it is not used for a period, dry it completely before storing, and keep it in a dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Always operate the mechanism gently to preserve its mechanics.

Happy bidding!
