Description from the seller
Lotto consisting of 1 bottle of 100 ml aged Balsamic Condiment, 50 YEARS, produced by Acetaia Giusti, Emilia Romagna - Italy.
The most exclusive collection of the house, produced every year in extremely limited quantities and drawn from some precious production barrel banks dating back to 1700. One of these barrels, coded as A3, was brought by Giusti to the National Exhibition in Florence in 1861 where an elixir of 90 years drawn from it won a gold medal, a success later repeated in Paris at the Exposition of 1889.
Iconically the case comprises the 5 woods that make up the typical battery of small casks; the front label is engraved in 24-carat gold, while the back label is produced with the ancient movable type printing technique, using a nineteenth-century Modenese lead type.
Extracted annually in limited quantities, Giusti 50 is a special reserve aged over 50 years in the house’s oldest battery of small barrels. Characterized by a broad aromatic bouquet and the unmistakable sweet-and-sour taste, it presents intense woody notes and ripe fruit. Each mini bottle is numbered and hand-finished, housed in a case with a small blown glass pipette. A unique product, enriched by the 24-carat gold label and printed with movable type, using a nineteenth-century Modenese font.
Ingredients: cooked grape must.
Aging: in ancient oak barrels dating back to the 1700s.
Pairings: Risotto, fresh pasta, stuffed pasta, meats, aged cheeses and desserts.
