Antique Silver Napkin Ring – Three Swans in Relief – Gilt Interior
Portugal assay mark (1938-1984), 833/000, and same date marker's mark.
Beautiful and unusual antique silver napkin ring, richly decorated with a finely detailed scene depicting three swans swimming on the water.
The swans are executed in high relief and surrounded by elegant scrolling and foliate ornamentation. The sides are further embellished with decorative floral motifs, while the angular shape gives the piece a particularly distinctive appearance.
The interior has an attractive gilt finish, creating a striking contrast with the silver exterior and highlighting the detailed decoration.
The piece displays fine craftsmanship, with considerable attention given to the feathers of the swans, the water, vegetation and surrounding ornamental elements.
The silver retains an attractive natural patina, enhancing the depth of the relief decoration. There are light signs of age and use consistent with an antique piece.
