Indian Brass Tea & Coffee Service – 5 Pieces with Large Matching Tray – c. 1940–1960
Beautiful complete five-piece Indian brass tea and coffee service, comprising a coffee pot, teapot, milk jug, sugar bowl and large matching pierced tray.
The set features an attractive fluted/ribbed design, decorative feet, curved spouts and hinged lids. The interiors have a contrasting silvery-coloured finish, consistent with traditional tin lining (kalai).
The service is unmarked and non-magnetic, with a total weight of approximately 3.1 kg. The set is attributed to India and is provisionally dated to circa 1940–1960.
The pieces show signs of age and use, including patina, surface marks and discoloration, giving the set an authentic vintage appearance. Please study the photographs carefully for the overall condition.
