Magnificent and complete Victorian dessert/fruit cutlery set consisting of 24 pieces (12 knives and 12 forks), preserved in its original polished wooden case with lined interior.
The blades and tines are finely decorated with period ornamental engravings. All pieces feature solid sterling silver handles authentified with their corresponding British hallmarks, including the Lion Passant mark.
Condition:
The set is in antique period condition. Due to the passage of time and the natural drying of the original adhesive, some of the fork handles are detached or loose from the ferrule, as clearly seen in the photographs. This is a common condition for these pieces and can be easily repaired or fixed.
